Boeing's Starliner Capsule Lifts Off, Continues Crew Flight Test

Successful Launch and Separation

On Wednesday, Boeing's Starliner spacecraft lifted off from Cape Canaveral, Florida, at 10:52 AM ET. The launch went smoothly, with the spacecraft successfully separating from the Atlas V rocket and entering orbit. According to Mark Nappi, vice president of Boeing's Commercial Crew and Cargo Programs, the Crew Flight Test is proceeding as planned.

On-Orbit Arrival and Objectives

Now in orbit, the Starliner capsule will complete a series of tests and maneuvers to demonstrate its readiness for crewed missions. The capsule is scheduled to rendezvous with the International Space Station (ISS) and remain docked for several days before returning to Earth.

Historic Milestone

This launch marks a significant milestone for Boeing and NASA. It is the first time the Starliner capsule has lifted off from the Kennedy Space Center. The successful launch and separation are crucial steps towards the goal of returning human spaceflight capabilities to the United States.
